Kiddie Spas

I was watching television today and came across something very interesting.  There was a video of a mother and her daughter at a spa.  The daughter was around 11 years old and she’s been going to the spa with her mother since she was 5.  I found this very intriguing.  Part of me says: “As if…she’s too young and what does she have to look forward to when she’s older.” HOWEVER…as I thought more about it, I realized that this is an AWESOME idea!  What a great bonding experience.  The mother and daughter each had a facial, manicure and pedicure.  The daughter was able to pick between a chocolate or strawberry facial, made with edible ingredients so she was able to lick her face while she was getting her facial.  She also received a cupcake during her cupcake pedicure…YUMMMM! 

 

I think this is so cool so I decided to do a little investigating on this subject.  It seems a little expensive depending on the treatment.  Child treatments range from $20 to $80 depending on the spa.  Seems a little excessive but it is a bonding experience.  It isn’t something that I would do monthly but it would be a nice little treat.  Oh…and dad’s can go too!
